Marrow ("we," "our," or "the app") is a pet wellness tracker built by Tritan, LLC. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.
By default, Marrow stores all pet data locally on your device. If you choose to turn on Cloud Backup (see Section 5), a private copy is also stored in your own backup account so you can recover it on a new phone. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

This data is stored using your device's secure local storage. Unless you turn on Cloud Backup, it never leaves your device except as described below.
Marrow requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you add a portrait photo for your pet and to snap walk photos. Photos are saved as local file references on your device and are not transmitted to any server.
You can revoke camera and photo library permissions at any time in your iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security.
To check whether your pet's food brand appears in active FDA recall notices, the app makes network requests to the openFDA public API (api.fda.gov). These requests contain no personal information — only a search query for the product category ("animal food"). Results are cached on your device to minimize network usage.
Marrow is a subscription app. New users receive a 7-day free trial; after the trial it renews at $4.99/month unless cancelled. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and you can cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your subscription state; it does not receive your name, email address, or payment details.
All billing and payment data is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment information.
Marrow works fully offline and uploads nothing unless you turn on Cloud Backup. Cloud Backup is opt-in: you enable it yourself from Profile → Data using Sign in with Apple.
When enabled, a private copy of your pet data and photos is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored in a backup account hosted on Supabase, so you can restore it after reinstalling the app or switching phones. Access is protected so that only your account can read or write your backup; your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
We use Sign in with Apple to create your account. Apple provides an account identifier and an email address, which may be a private relay address you control. We store only the pet information you enter — never advertising identifiers, contacts, or location.
You can turn Cloud Backup off at any time by signing out (Profile → Data); your data stays on your device. You can delete your cloud backup and its photos from the same screen.
Marrow schedules on-device notifications for walk reminders, medication reminders, and health record due dates. These are processed entirely on your device using iOS's local notification system. No notification data is transmitted to external servers.
Marrow does not include any advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics. We do not build profiles on you, sell your data, or share your information with advertisers.
Marrow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
App data is stored locally on your device. To delete all local Marrow data, delete the app from your iPhone. If you turned on Cloud Backup, deleting the app does not remove the cloud copy — open Profile → Data → "Delete cloud backup," or contact us to remove your backup account entirely.
Subscription status is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. To cancel, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
